HSS5012N1D2900 NSK High-speed Feed Screw HSS Standard Ball Screw

The NSK HSS5012N1D2900 ball screw is part of NSK's HSS high-speed, quiet standard ball screw series. Originating from the HMS/HMD high-speed machine tool ball screw technology, it has been standardized for rapid delivery and stock availability, providing high-performance solutions for industrial machinery drive systems.

Features of the HSS5012N1D2900 Ball Screw:

High Speed: Achieves high speed and quiet operation using NSK's unique circulation system. The limiting d·n value has more than doubled from 70,000 in the original SS series to 160,000. The lead range has been expanded to 20mm, allowing transmission speeds up to 60m/min.

Quiet Operation and Low Vibration: Thanks to NSK's unique circulation system, high speed and quiet operation are achieved, reducing the impact between the steel balls and the circulation components, resulting in a 6dB reduction in noise levels compared to current standards. Nut vibration levels are also significantly reduced.

Nut Mounting Dimensions: The nut's outer diameter and mounting dimensions are the same as the SS series external circulation nuts.

Compact Size

Unlike the original SS series with double-nut preload, this model uses single-nut offset preload, achieving the same rigidity and load-bearing capacity as double nuts while shortening the nut length. Furthermore, the use of a thin sealing cap in the axial direction further reduces the nut length.

Since this model is an unmachined shaft end, it allows for flexible customization to meet user needs.

Oil Filling Specifications
The oil filling ports (M6X1.0) are located at two points on the outer diameter and end face of the nut flange. The standard configuration flange has embedded bolts at the outer diameter.
